Water Tank Firepit/bbq grill

by Derek
(Georgia)

I was able to pick up a used water (well) tank at a local metal recycling center for $4. The tank is about 2 ft. diameter and 3 ft. long. When I cut in half that will yield two fire pits/grills. I also was able to find some good grate material, several pieces at a cost of $6.

Not bad...two firepit/grills for $10. And then I stopped by a tractor repair shop and they gave me five large 24"-26" wheels for free. If readers have recycling centers/scrapyards in their area, often those places are great for sourcing inexpensive materials for d.i.y. grills, fitepits, chimineas, and wood stoves.
